Consignment Contract

Retail Therapy Consignment, LLC (RTC) specializes in consigning and purchasing women’s clothing and accessories. We accept only current styles in excellent condition. Please see the website for a list of brands and items we do not accept, as this list is subject to change and should be checked frequently. RTC reserves the right to determine which items are sellable and at what price, with prices subject to adjustment at our discretion to facilitate sales. 

CONSIGNMENT TERMS: Revenue split based on pricing: UPDATED 3/1/2026

·  Items under $100: 60% RTC / 40% Consignor

·  Items $100 - $399: 50% RTC / 50% Consignor

·  Items $400 and over: 40% RTC / 60% Consignor

o    Luxury brands MAY qualify for 30% RTC/ 70% Consignor (must be priced at least $1,000 or above)

o    Seasonal items only; check the website for seasonal guidelines.

o    Consignors are responsible for tracking sales and consignment periods.

o    Unsold items after 90 days become RTC property, and any resulting sales proceeds are forfeited.

o    Payment is available via cash or check upon request. Checks will NOT be mailed. ACH payouts available.

o    Balances must be claimed within 365 days or will be forfeited to RTC. If checks are not retrieved from RTC within 3 months the payout will be voided and monies will go back onto the account. $5 fee will be incurred. 

o    CASH BUYOUT OPTION:

o    RTC offers 15-25% of the estimated resale price.

o    You must request a buyout at drop-off; otherwise, items will be consigned. 

o    ITEM ACCEPTANCE STANDARDS:
Before bringing items, ensure they meet the following requirements:

o    No stains, holes, broken zippers, missing buttons, excessive wear, or odors.

o    Items must be clean, turned right side out, and neatly folded.

o    Shoes and handbags must be wiped down, with clean interiors and no visible wear.

o    Items must NOT include brands listed on our 'Do Not Accept' list available on the website.

o    RTC is not a donation center. Only high-quality, like-new items will be accepted.

o    Items in poor condition, out of season or brands we do not take may result in a restriction on the account. 

·                     RESTRICTED ITEMS:
RTC does not accept the following:

·                     Pajamas, underwear, socks, or dirty laundry.

·  House-wares or non-fashion accessories.

·  Shoes smaller than size 6 or larger than size 11.

·  Clothing larger than 3X/24W.

·  Children’s items, men’s clothing, formal wear or business wear.

·  Non-branded or low-value jewelry (must be valued at $20 or more).

·                     DROP-OFF SCHEDULE:

·                     Clothing for consignment or buyout may not be accepted the 25th through the end of each month

·  Policies and drop-off times may change; check www.rtcshops.com for updates.

·                     DONATION & ITEM REVIEWS:

·                     RTC can donate items we do not select to sell.

·  If you choose to have items given back that we do not choose, you must wait while we review them.

·  If a review cannot be completed when you drop off RTC will contact you by phone. Items NOT selected to sell must be picked up within 48 hours of our phone call. Items not retrieved promptly (within 48 hours) will be donated.

·  RTC reserves the right to donate originally accepted items upon further inspection.

·                     IMPORTANT NOTES:

·                     RTC is not responsible for lost, damaged, stolen or missing from inventory items.

·  Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in a restriction on future consignment.
