2025 RECAP

Hello faithful RTC family,

As 2025 comes to an end, I am able to sit back and truly reflect on all that this year has brought. January 2026 will begin the 18th year of Retail Therapy Consignment, and that is still unbelievable to me.

The past five years have brought more change than any other season — especially since COVID. 2020 brought so much… so much hardship, but also so much unexpected growth. Growth I honestly wasn’t ready for at the time. But if I learned anything, it was how to pivot. Since then, RTC has moved through many phases of growth — each one shaping who we are today.

Physically, we have expanded twice and now occupy the entire building. What once was just me — with help from family and the occasional friend — has grown into a team of over 10 incredible employees. Together, we’ve been honored to win Best of the Best Consignment Store for the past three consecutive years.

Our online presence has grown exponentially and now represents 30% of our overall sales. Selling LIVE has grown our RTC shopping family in ways I never could have imagined. In fact, just this year we learned that we now remit sales tax to multiple states because of how many of you shop with us from outside of Florida!

In 2025 alone:
• We welcomed 500+ new consignors
• Processed over 58,000 items, including 319 luxury pieces
• Continued to grow our in-store and online community
• And — something incredibly personal to me — I was able to take the summer off to spend with my family, something I have been striving for since 2020

Every single one of these milestones happened for one reason: your faithful and continued support.

Because of you, RTC is also able to give back to our community — something that is deeply important to me. If someone is in need, I want to be able to help — whether that’s an individual or an organization. Through your support, we have been able to fund and support organizations such as:

The Charis House, ServFirst Initiative, Set Free Ministries, Motion Students Missions, Fernandina Beach Middle & High School Foundations, Babe Ruth & Elm Street Little League, First Baptist Church Fernandina Beach Women’s & Children’s Ministries (including VBS), FCA, FBCA, The Salvation Army, Chandler’s Closet, and River Road Baptist Church Clothing Closet.

This Christmas, we were also able to bless many teachers with Amazon gift cards — and that would not have been possible without you.

Years ago, before opening RTC, I went on a mission trip to Honduras. God was very clear that my mission field was at home. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant. After opening RTC — and after my dad passed away — I quickly did.

My dad would walk through this building, anoint it with oil, and pray that people in need would be drawn here. That continues to be my prayer. I don’t want my employees to just be workers — I want them to be a light, to brighten your day. I want RTC to be a launching pad for some and a landing pad for others.

So thank you — from the very bottom of my heart — for allowing this vision to exist. From the one-time vacation shopper, to our loyal consignors bringing in fabulous finds, to our incredible LIVE sale followers… we could not do this without every single one of you. And I know that deeply. “Thank you” doesn’t feel sufficient, but it is heartfelt and sincere.

As we look ahead to 2026, I want to share something close to my heart. The growth of RTC over the past few years has been all-consuming at times, but God has clearly called me to help address the issue of human trafficking. This work is not warm or easy. It is heavy, hard, and heartbreaking. But if you know me at all, you know I rarely take the easy route.

In 2026, you will begin to see efforts to raise awareness and funds for the fight against human trafficking. I am currently discerning which organizations to partner with. This is not just a global problem — it is a local one. I personally know girls who were trafficked from here to Atlanta. This is a fight, and I pray I won’t fight it alone.

I don’t know exactly where God will lead RTC next, but I know His plans are always for His good and for His glory. Thank you — truly — for helping me live that out.

I invite you to keep dropping, shopping, and having fun with us along the way.
And always remember…

It’s not shopping… it’s Retail Therapy.

With so much love and gratitude,
Jessica 💗
